     The Jones County Board of Supervisors welcome public input at their meetings. The public will be provided an opportunity to comment on specific agenda items during the time the item is listed on the agenda. A public comment period is provided at the end of the meeting for items not listed on the agenda.
9:00 a.m.-Janine Sulzner, Auditor
-Approve the minutes of the June 21, 2016 meeting.
-Appropriation resolution transferring budgetary authority between various departments for year end expenditure purposes, if needed.
-Action to void stale dated checks.
-Approve claims.
-Action to hire Barbie Griswold as a part-time driver/office help for JETS.
-Interfund transfer resolution for local option tax projects.
-Interfund transfer resolution between the Conservation Land Acquisition Trust Fund and the General Basic Fund, if needed.
-Resolution designating a portion of the General Fund balance for county facility capital projects and major software updates, an election equipment replacement fund,  and an aerial tax mapping project fund.
-Resolution designating the balance in the Secondary Road Local Option Tax Fund for road and bridge projects.
-FY17 Salary Resolution for Community Services and Mental Health Case Management non-union staff.
-FY17 Salary Resolution for JETS staff.
-Discussion and possible action regarding the Conservation Board's approval of wage increases in excess of the rates approved during budget preparation.

-Appointments to the Conservation Board, Board of Adjustment, and Veteran Affairs Commission.
-Action to place on file a notice from the County Assessor regarding a property owner's appeal to the state's property assessment board related to Jones County Board of Review action on an assessment value change.
-Action to place on file manure management updates from John McDermott for a facility in Dubuque County with manure application in Jones County; B & B Sandhill Swine in Section 6 of Hale Township; B & K Ponderosa (Bernie Trumm) in Section 9 of Washington Township; and an updated Construction Permit Application (master matrix) for a confinement feeding operation from Tenley Pork LLC for a facility to be located in Section 23 of Wayne Township (previously filed on June 9, 2016 and updated on June 23, 2016).
-Action to appoint Michelle Hansen as the rural representative to the Wyoming Public Library Board.
-Action to approve a fireworks permit for Dan Kiley for an even to be held at 11501 Co. Rd. X28 Anamosa IA 
-General update on various facility related matters. No action.
-General update on various county administrative matters, if needed. No action.
9:30 a.m.-Michele Lubben, Land Use Administrator - Public hearing regarding the confinement animal feeding operation construction permit application with master matrix for Tenley Pork LLC, located in Section 23 of Wayne Township.
-Action to make a recommendation to the Department of Natural Resources regarding the construction permit application for Tenley Pork LLC for a facility proposed to be located in Section 23 of Wayne Township.
-Review a recommendation from the Planning & Zoning Commission and set a public hearing date to rezone a parcel located in Section 20 of Fairview Township from R-Residential to C1-Commercial, subject to a conditional zoning agreement.
-Discussion and possible action on a violation of the Jones County Subdivision Ordinance for the Final Plat of Candy Apple 3rd Addition, a subdivision in Section 19 of Lovell Township. 
-Update on nuisances located at 10750 Hwy 64, Wyoming, across from 4184 25th St., Oxford Junction, and at 4023 25th St., Oxford Junction. Possible action.
10:00 a.m.-Greg Graver, Sheriff, Jeff Swisher, Chief Deputy Sheriff, and Brian Eckhardt, Deputy Sheriff  - discuss the possibility of creating an investigator/sargeant position in the Sheriff's Office.
-Approve the appointment of a new Communications Supervisor.
10:15 a.m.-Dusty Embree, Wapsipinicon Trail Committee - present a recommendation to award a contract for engineering services for the proposed Wapsipinicon Trail project. Possible action.
10:30 a.m.-Rose Rohr, Jones County Historic Preservation Commission - Discuss the preservation of Ely's Stone Bridge in Lovell Township.   
10:45 a.m.-Derek Snead, Engineer
-Review bids received at the Iowa Dept. of Transportation for the County Rd. E45 resurfacing project. Possible action to award a bid.
-Discuss noxious weeds.
-General update on matters related to road maintenance and projects. No action.
11:00 a.m.-Phil Parsons, County Attorney
Possible closed session pursuant to Iowa Code Section 21.5, subsection 1.c. (to discuss strategy with counsel in matters that are presently in litigation or where litigation is imminent where its disclosure would be likely to prejudice or disadvantage the position of the governmental body in that litigation).
End of meeting-Various committee reports from the Board of Supervisors, including a schedule of upcoming meetings, if any.
-Discussion regarding a draft procurement/purchasing policy. Possible action to adopt policy.
-Discussion regarding the washouts on the Broadway Place Annex hillside.
-Items to be placed on the agenda for future Board meetings.
-Public comment period regarding items not listed on the agenda.
-Motion to adjourn.

     The deadline to submit items for the agenda is typically 2 p.m. on the Friday prior to the meeting. The agenda may be revised with at least 24 hours notice; the revised agenda will be posted and emailed in a manner similar to the original agenda.
