     The Jones County Board of Supervisors welcome public input at their meetings. The public will be provided an opportunity to comment on specific agenda items during the time the item is listed on the agenda. A public comment period is provided at the end of the meeting for items not listed on the agenda.
9:00 a.m.-Janine Sulzner, Auditor
-Approve the minutes of the July 26, 2016 meeting.
-Approve payroll for the period ending July 24, 2016.
-Action to authorize the Chairman to sign the contract with Anderson-Bogert Engineers & Surveyors, Inc. for the proposed Wapsipinicon Trail Project.
-Action to approve a fireworks permit for Lee Hein.
-Action to hire Lynn Goode and Dana Edwards as part-time drivers for JETS.
-Action to place on file manure management plan updates from  John Sander for a facility in Section 36 of Hale Township and from TCCC Pork LLC for a facility located in Section 18 of Scotch Grove Township.
-Action to approve the addition of Carryout Native Wine Privilege to the liquor license for Riverside Travel Mart, Inc., DBA Anamosa Travel.
-General update on various facility related matters. No action.
-General update on various county administrative matters, if needed. No action.
9:10 a.m.-John Harms & Lowell Tiedt - recognize the Board of Supervisors for their assistance at the Great Jones County Fair.
9:15 a.m.-Jason Gideon, Energy Consultants Group - presentation on solar power purchase agreements.
9:30 a.m.-Michele Lubben, Land Use Administrator -Approve the second consideration of Jones County, Iowa Ordinance 2016-07, an ordinance amending the zoning map in Chapter 3, Jones County Zoning Ordinance, of Title VI - Property & Land Use, of the Jones County Code of Ordinances.
-Possible suspension of the provisions of Iowa Code Section 331.302(6) which requires three considerations of an ordinance prior to passage.
-Update on new possible nuisances located  near 12478 St. Paul St. (near the Center Junction Community Building) and 10743 Main St. Center Junction.  No action.  Request to set a public hearing after 30 days have passed after an official nuisance abatement notice had been sent for property at 10750 Hwy 64, Wyoming. 
9:45 a.m.-Kristi Aitchison, GIS Coordinator - present a request from Farm & Home Publishers for approval of a GIS Data Agreement, with a proposal to exchange data in lieu of a fee for county data. Possible action.
10:00 a.m.-Derek Snead, Engineer
-Action to accept a bid and award a contract for a Secondary Road maintenance shop at 22700 River Rd., Monticello.
-Action to accept a quote for a skid loader.
-Action to open bids for a tandem all-wheel drive motor grader. Possible action to accept a bid.
-General update on matters related to road maintenance and projects. No action.
10:05 a.m.-Deb Schultz, Community Services Director - discuss an employee resignation and discuss advertisement for a replacement. Possible action.
10:15 a.m.-Gary Grant and Larry Murphy, Heartland Associates - discuss mental health funding legislation.
End of meeting-Various committee reports from the Board of Supervisors, including a schedule of upcoming meetings, if any.
-Discussion and possible action regarding liability insurance coverage for use of drones.
-Discussion and possible action regarding signage for the offices at the Broadway Place Annex.
-Discussion and possible action regarding the washouts on the Broadway Place Annex hillside.
-Items to be placed on the agenda for future Board meetings.
-Public comment period regarding items not listed on the agenda.
-Motion to adjourn.

     The deadline to submit items for the agenda is typically 2 p.m. on the Friday prior to the meeting. The agenda may be revised with at least 24 hours notice; the revised agenda will be posted and emailed in a manner similar to the original agenda.
