March 18, 2020 UPDATE -
To limit potential exposure to the Coronovirus/COVID-19, the Senior Dining Center closed congregate meal sites on Monday, March 16th. Currently, Senior Dining is working to deliver frozen meals to seniors once a week in Anamosa, Oxford Junction, Olin and Wyoming. Meals will be delivered twice a week in Monticello. Delivery dates are subject to change, but right now they could be delivering on Tuesdays and Fridays.
All transporters will be wearing protective masks and gloves to protect our seniors. Please call with any questions or changes to your meal delivery.
The Jones County Senior Dining Program is primarily designed for persons 60 years of age or older.
We provide nutritious noon meals in social congregate settings,
as well as home delivered meals to those that are homebound because of illness, incapaciting disability or isolated.
Our meals are analized to meet the recommended daily allowance of nutrients.
We have sites in Anamosa, Monticello, Olin, Wyoming and Oxford Junction.
These sites offer a variety of activities, games, cards and informational speakers.
The suggested contribution for a congregate or home delivered meal based on an adjustable scale, please contact the director.
The amount you contribute is up to you and based on your ability to pay.
For those that are under 60 years old, the cost is a required $5.00.
